TEAM LIVE WELL AT 2019 VANCOUVER SUN RUN

By

Last Sunday a group of members and staff from LIVE WELL Exercise Clinic locations in the Lower Mainland joined 40,000 others to participate in the 35th annual Vancouver Sun Run. It is Canada’s largest 10-km road race and one of the largest in North America.

The Run’s mandate is to “promote health, fitness and community spirit and to support amateur athletics” in the Vancouver area and is a mix of competitive runners, wheelchair athletes and other participants ranging from running enthusiasts to seniors to parents pushing their kids in strollers.

Team LIVE WELL persevered to walk and run the 10-km course through downtown Vancouver despite ever-changing and challenging weather including driving rain, hail, sleet and sunshine. At their exercise sessions in clinic this week, many members sported huge smiles talking and laughing about the run and sharing stories of how they “survived” the elements.

Approximately 20 LIVE WELL members, plus staff from LIVE WELL East Vancouver, Kerrisdale, Brentwood, North Delta and White Rock clinics took part.

“Our members are passionate! Despite hail and rain, everyone who registered for the LIVE WELL team participated on the day of the Vancouver Sun Run. We even had some additional members join on the day of the race. Healthy habits are contagious,” said Tory Brooks-Hill, owner of LIVE WELL East Van and LIVE WELL Kerrisdale.

Congratulations Team LIVE WELL! Wonderful to see so many members getting out there to walk and run together!
